In a statement, the PSD emphasized the importance of driving carefully to avoid traffic accidents due to slippery roads from rainfall and reduced visibility caused by dust, especially in desert areas and the southern and eastern regions of the kingdom.
It also advised staying away from the edges of valleys and areas prone to flash floods, and not to cross roads when water levels rise.
Citizens were urged to use heating devices safely and properly, securing any objects that could be blown away by the wind.
The directorate confirmed its operational readiness to respond to any reports received at the unified emergency number 911, through its main and subsidiary operations rooms, patrols, and teams working around the clock in all regions and governorates – according to the statement.
