Jordan's Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi.
Safadi calls current 'Israeli' government "most extreme"
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell are co-chairing the 9th Regional Forum of Foreign Ministers for the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona.
Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares hosted the event, with foreign ministers and representatives from UfM member states and related regional organizations in attendance.
In his address, Safadi highlighted the crisis in Gaza, emphasizing that the global community cannot remain silent in the face of escalating violence.
He condemned the high number of child casualties and the arrests of medical staff, noting severe shortages of medicine and oxygen in Gaza hospitals. Safadi described the current Israeli Occupation's government as the "most extreme," with actions aimed at displacing Palestinians.
Safadi also warned that the foundations of peace are being destabilized due to intensified aggression in the West Bank, Lebanon, and Gaza, stating that Israeli Occupation’s continued assassinations and attacks carry severe repercussions for the region.
