'Israel' signs $2 billion deal to advance laser defense system
Israeli Occupation military announced a nearly 2 billion shekel deal to further develop the "Magen Or" laser air defense system. The move comes as Tel Aviv requests a second THAAD missile defense battery from the United States to bolster defenses amid heightened threats, including increased drone and missile attacks from Lebanon and concerns over Iran.
The United States recently provided Israeli Occupation with an advanced air defense battery, along with American soldiers to operate it. This support, including weapons and missiles, aligns with ongoing US military aid amid escalating hostilities in Gaza and Lebanon.
Earlier, 'Israeli' Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi acknowledged the heavy losses faced by Israeli Occupation Forces in aggression with Lebanon and Gaza. In a statement honoring fallen soldiers, Halevi remarked on the "high cost" of the ongoing aggression, stating, "We have suffered significant and painful losses and continue to fight to bring back those held captive."
