The sources identified one of the soldiers as Gilad Almalih, who was killed on Saturday during combat with resistance forces in southern Lebanon, along with a reserve officer.
Earlier, Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, acknowledged that the 'Israeli' army has suffered significant losses in ongoing battles in both Lebanon and Gaza.
In a statement commemorating the fallen soldiers, Halevi noted the high cost of the war, saying, “We have sustained heavy and painful losses and continue to fight to retrieve captives.”
