'1.4 million displaced amid aggression,' says Lebanon's PM

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced that the ongoing aggression against Lebanon has displaced 1.4 million people, highlighting the widespread destruction and humanitarian crisis that requires immediate international attention.

During an international conference in support of Lebanon, Mikati emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire to allow diplomatic efforts to address the situation along the border.

He added that Lebanon’s commitment to increasing the number of troops in its army, in accordance with UN Resolution 1701, demonstrates the country’s full dedication to upholding the resolution.

Mikati also urged the international community to hold those responsible for violating international humanitarian law accountable, stating that stability in Lebanon requires a ceasefire, the implementation of Resolution 1701, and the resolution of disputes along the Blue Line.
