Jordan evacuates 50 citizens from Lebanon amid ongoing “Israeli” assault
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced today the evacuation of 50 Jordanian citizens and their families from Lebanon, via a Royal Jordanian Air Force military plane.
This marks the 12th such flight of aid sent to Lebanon, carrying food, relief supplies, medicine, and medical equipment, which arrived at Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport earlier today.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah said Wednesday that this is the sixth evacuation flight for Jordanian citizens in Lebanon. A total of 164 Jordanians and their families, all registered through the embassy’s special evacuation platform, have now been safely returned to Jordan.
The evacuation is part of a coordinated effort involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Jordanian Armed Forces, security agencies, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, ensuring the safe return of citizens amid ongoing Israeli aggression in Lebanon.
Since August, 3,353 Jordanian citizens have returned from Lebanon, primarily via Queen Alia International Airport, with others crossing the Jaber Border by land. Ambassador Qudah confirmed that the Jordanian Embassy in Lebanon continues to assist citizens by arranging air evacuations and land returns through Syria. He assured that the Jordanian community in Lebanon is safe, with no reported injuries.
