Jordan, Syria agree to ease passenger movement
Interior Minister Mazin Al Farrayeh announced a new agreement with his Syrian counterpart, Mohammad Khaled Al-Rahmoun, aimed at facilitating the movement of Syrian passengers arriving by air from various countries and entering Syria through the Jaber Border Crossing.
During a visit to the Jaber Border Crossing, Al Farrayeh revealed plans for the restructuring and rebuilding of the crossing in the near future.
He noted that the government has allocated approximately JD 600,000 for the Jaber and Karameh crossings, with a comprehensive plan to enhance capacity for both travelers and goods between the two countries.
Faraya also toured the Jaber Border Center to assess operations and address logistical concerns related to passenger and cargo movement, assuring that the issues will be resolved soon.
