“Israeli” captive killed in mysterious circumstances, says Hamas military wing source

A senior source in Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, told Al-Jazeera that an “enemy captive was recently killed under mysterious circumstances in northern Gaza in one of the combat zones.”

The source added that the brigades are currently investigating the incident, and that the name of the “Israeli” captive will not be released for security reasons.

The incident comes as “Israeli” forces are conducting an extensive military operation in Jabalia, north Gaza since the start of the month, in which it claims aims to thwart a regrouping of Hamas forces in the area.
