Hebrew media revealed that the assassination of Hezbollah’s long-time leader Hassan Nasrallah has cost “Israel” a staggering amount, which was spent in “only 10 seconds”.

In a report by YNET, it said that the cost of expanding the war to Lebanon has cost the treasury approximately NIS 25 billion (approx USD 6.7 billion) since early September – a period of nearly 50 days.

A senior “Israeli” military official confirmed that ammunition used to assassinate Hassan Nasrallah cost NIS 25 million (approx USD 6.7 million) in 10 seconds; in an operation that used bunker busters on the main Hezbollah headquarters in the group’s stronghold in Dahiyeh.

The operation to target Nasrallah’s potential successor Hashem Safieddine, conducted in a similar fashion, cost another 20 million Shekels (approx USD 5.3 million).

“Israel” says it killed Safieddine, Hezbollah is yet to issue a statement on the matter.

“The substantial expenses incurred by the military campaign will require Israel to exceed and increase the budget immediately,” the report said.

The costs have been compounded also by the expensive use of interceptor missiles in response to a significant increase of missiles and drone attacks from Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen.

The “Israeli” security establishment requested an additional NIS 220 billion (approx USD 58 billion) but has been rejected strongly by the Finance Ministry, which argued that the military must improve its efficiency in using its allocated expenses.
