The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced on Sunday the evacuation of 12 Jordanian citizens from Lebanon, following royal directives to ensure their safety and secure their return to the Kingdom.

The evacuation was carried out using a military aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, marking the 11th flight delivering food, relief, and medical aid to the Lebanese people, which landed today at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport – said the statement by the Foreign Ministry.

The ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, said that this was the fifth flight dedicated to evacuating Jordanian citizens residing in Lebanon.

A total of 114 citizens have been evacuated through Royal Jordanian Air Force flights, all of whom had registered through the embassy’s online evacuation platform in Beirut.

He added that these operations are part of a comprehensive plan developed by the ministry in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, security services, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, aimed at ensuring the safe return of citizens amid the ongoing “Israeli” aggression in Lebanon.

Ambassador Qudah also noted that since the beginning of August – 3,353 Jordanians have returned to the Kingdom from Lebanon via Queen Alia International Airport, with others returning by land through the Jaber Border Crossing.

He confirmed that the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon continues to provide support and assistance for evacuations, whether by air or land through Syria, and maintains regular communication with the Jordanian community, which has so far reported no injuries.
