The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan released a statement following the shooting at the Neot HaKikar settlement south of the Dead Sea, in which two “Israeli” soldiers sustained injuries.

In the statement, the group said that the operation "was an individual response by young Jordanians who could no longer bear witnessing the brutal Zionist aggression."

The group noted that "this act is not new to the Jordanian people; it is part of a legacy that began with the martyrdom of the hero Kayed Al-Abbadiyat and continued with the hero martyr Maher Al-Jazi. We must also remember the sacrifices of our Arab army, whose martyrs' blood remains a witness on the land of Jerusalem and Palestine."

The statement said that the "the occupation's unrestrained aggression, its attempts to expand the war in the region, and its efforts to export chaos beyond Palestine—along with its continued threats of displacement and the liquidation of the Palestinian cause at Jordan's expense, and the escalated assault on Al-Aqsa Mosque aimed at imposing a new reality through extremist Talmudic practices and agendas—demand that we unify our national front and stand as one against these dangers and challenges."

The Muslim Brotherhood concluded by stating: "The Brotherhood will continue, as always, to stand in defense of the nation, committed to its unity, security, and stability."
