The spokesperson for the Jordanian Customs Department announced that customs officers at the Jaber Border Crossing, in cooperation with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 3 kilograms of crystal meth and over one million Captagon pills in three significant cases last month.

A statement from the Customs Department, the customs personnel at the Jaber Border Crossing successfully intercepted 852,000 Captagon pills hidden inside mechanical parts of a vehicle intended for smuggling.

They also seized 3 kilograms of crystal meth concealed in a truck coming from Syria, hidden under the truck's tarpaulin. Additionally, 200,000 Captagon pills were found in another truck’s refrigeration unit. Necessary documentation was organized, and the cases were referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action.

Jordanian Customs Department emphasizes that its personnel work in all border customs centers alongside other security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department in a coordinated effort at the highest levels to combat the entry of such narcotics and other prohibited substances across the borders. This effort is part of their commitment to protect citizens' health and economic well-being.
