Ten people hospitalized for food poisoning in Madaba

Ten individuals from the same family were hospitalized for food poisoning on Wednesday evening in Madaba Governorate.

A medical source told Roya that the family members sought treatment at the emergency department of Al-Nadim Government Hospital, presenting symptoms of illness.

The source confirmed that their symptoms were diagnosed as food poisoning caused by consuming "maamoul," a traditional Middle Eastern pastry.

All necessary medical tests have been conducted for the patients, whose health conditions have been described as stable. The source indicated that the contaminated food was purchased from a commercial market in the capital, Amman.
