'Israeli' airstrikes hit central Beirut amid assassination reports
On Thursday evening, a Roya correspondent in Lebanon reported that the Israeli Occupation military conducted two airstrikes in the heart of Beirut, marking the third attack on neighborhoods in the Lebanese capital since the onset of hostilities on September 23.
Emergency services rushed to the scene as smoke filled the skies in the area. The first strike targeted a building in the Ras al-Nab'a neighborhood, while the second hit an apartment in a high-rise on Al-Mamoun Street.
Hebrew media outlets described the operation as an exceptional assassination attempt in Beirut, later confirming through Channel 12 that Wafiq Safa, Hezbollah's coordination and liaison official, was the target of the attack.
