'Israeli' Energy Minister claims occupation of southern Lebanese town
Israeli Occupation's Energy Minister claimed that Israeli Occupation Forces have taken control of the town of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon and destroyed homes from which Hezbollah allegedly launched rockets.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raised the occupation flag in Maroun al-Ras, reportedly placing it on a building just 20 meters from the border fence, according to a Roya correspondent.
Earlier, the Israeli Occupation military claimed that its Golani Brigade had taken over a Hezbollah compound in the town, where they reportedly found a rocket launcher primed to fire at settlements in northern occupied Palestine.
On Tuesday, the IOF announced airstrikes targeting Hezbollah in southwestern Lebanon as it expanded its ground operations, following the deployment of additional forces. The 146th Division launched limited, focused attacks against Hezbollah's infrastructure in the region.
The army also reported that approximately 85 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern areas, including the city of Haifa, while confirming airstrikes targeting Beirut's southern suburbs.
