Israeli Occupation: Ground operations have begun in southern Lebanon

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced on Tuesday morning the initiation of ground operations in southern Lebanon. 

The IOF called upon a division for additional military reinforcements to support the ground operation, according to an official statement. Division 146 has begun executing operations described as “targeted against Hezbollah's infrastructure and assets in southern Lebanon.”

Washington has raised concerns regarding the potential escalation of this military operation, which has been characterized as limited against Hezbollah. US officials warned that the conflict could evolve into a prolonged engagement that may draw in other regional actors.

According to CNN, the American administration urged Tel Aviv to exercise caution and avoid excessive escalation, especially in the context of any possible retaliatory strikes against Iran.
