Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi emphasized that the escalation of Israeli Occupation Forces, which began in Gaza and has now extended to Lebanon, is pushing the region towards "the brink of a full-scale regional war."

In statements made upon his arrival in Beirut on Monday, Safadi warned that the Israeli Occupation aggression, which started in Gaza and has spread to Lebanon, threatens to drag the entire region into a comprehensive regional conflict.

Safadi added that his visit to Beirut is under the guidance of His Majesty King Abdullah II, as part of a solidarity mission with Lebanon in the face of Israeli Occupation aggression.

He stressed that the visit aims to reaffirm Jordan's support for Lebanon's security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens. He is also set to meet with Lebanese officials, including the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament, and the Army Commander, to discuss efforts to halt the aggression and implement UN Resolution 1701.

Additionally, the visit will assess Lebanon’s humanitarian needs in light of the ongoing crisis, delivering a strong Jordanian message of continued solidarity and support for Lebanon.

Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced earlier that Safadi’s visit to Lebanon, under the directives of King Abdullah II, started on Monday. Safadi arrived in Beirut aboard a Jordan Armed Forces aircraft carrying 13 tons of food, relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment.

This is the seventh Jordanian aid plane to arrive in Lebanon under the King’s directives since September 18, 2024.
