Jordan, France seek solutions to address aggression on Lebanon, regional security

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met with French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in Amman on Sunday to discuss pressing regional issues.

The meeting centered on the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza to alleviate the unprecedented humanitarian crisis there. Both officials stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to deliver sustainable humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip and ensure the protection of civilians, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, the talks addressed the aggression against Lebanon and its broader implications for regional security, as well as the rising tensions in the West Bank and ongoing violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.

Safadi and Barrot also explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation between their two countries across various sectors.
