Highway patrol teams responded to several accidents over the past 24 hours, resulting in eight moderate injuries, including three children involved in hit-and-run incidents in Amman and Irbid.

On Sunday, a representative from the Highway Patrol Department (HPD) reported that an 8-year-old girl was hit while heading toward Irbid. She received medical assistance, and the driver was detained for further investigation.

Additionally, a vehicle overturned on the Irbid-to-Mafraq road, injuring four individuals who were transported to Mafraq Government Hospital. Their conditions were assessed as moderate, and traffic disruptions at the scene were cleared.

Another incident involved a collision between two vehicles on Jordan Street towards Tabarbour, resulting in two moderate injuries. The injured were taken to Prince Hussein Hospital.

In the morning, a collision at the Sweileh tunnel exit towards Khalda caused material damage and created traffic delays during rush hour.

Furthermore, two children were involved in a hit-and-run at the Medical City Roundabout. They were treated and reported to be in good condition, while the driver was detained for legal procedures.
