Iranian Foreign Minister reaffirms support for Lebanon, Hezbollah

During his visit to Beirut, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Iran stands fully behind Lebanon and Hezbollah in confronting Israeli Occupation aggression.

Following talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri, Araghchi reiterated Iran's unwavering support for Lebanon and the resistance in combating Israeli Occupation crimes.

He stated that Israeli Occupation's attacks will not achieve their objectives, and the Lebanese people will emerge victorious from this confrontation.

Araghchi added that Iran’s recent strikes against Israeli Occupation were acts of self-defense, in accordance with UN regulations, and targeted only Israeli Occupation's security and military sites.

He also highlighted that his presence in Beirut sends a clear message of Iran’s full backing of Hezbollah and the Lebanese resistance. He warned that Iran’s response would be comprehensive and proportional to any Israeli aggression.

Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran is in ongoing consultations with relevant countries to reach a ceasefire, with the condition that Lebanese rights are respected.
