During a recent visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Qatar, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani emphasized the significance of enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations amid escalating tensions in the region.

In his remarks, the Qatari Emir expressed grave concerns regarding the ongoing aggression against Lebanon, stating, "The continuous assault on Lebanon puts the entire region on the brink of disaster."

He reiterated warnings that the current escalation in Lebanon was anticipated since the onset of the aggression in Gaza and affirmed Qatar's commitment to continue efforts to halt the war in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the military wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, issued a statement warning occupiers that "the coming days will bring death to you from all sides of the West Bank."

In response to regional conflicts, President Pezeshkian stated, "We do not seek war or bloodshed in the region and the world."

He said that Israeli Occupation assassinated Ismail Haniyeh, a guest in Tehran, which escalated tensions. The Iranian president warned that should Israeli Occupation attack, the response would be "wider and harsher."

President Pezeshkian also revealed that his government was urged to exercise restraint in retaliating for Haniyeh's assassination to allow room for negotiations.
