“Israel” begins ground invasion of Lebanon
The “Israeli” military has launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon early Tuesday, demanding the evacuation of areas near the border.
According to “Israeli” military sources, the operation is aimed at targeting Hezbollah’s infrastructure along the border.
This comes as Hezbollah continues to fire dozens of rockets into northern “Israel”, with the exchange of hostilities intensifying.
In the early hours of Tuesday, the “Israeli” military officially announced a “limited and targeted” ground operation in southern Lebanon.
The operation, according to “Israeli” military sources, aims to neutralize Hezbollah infrastructure and positions near the border, which they claim pose an immediate threat to “Israeli” settlements.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have also mobilized significant military assets as they push into Lebanese territory, marking a dangerous escalation in the ongoing conflict.
Lebanese group Hezbollah said today it had twice targeted “Israeli” troop movements in Metula in northern “Israel”.
The group targeted "a movement of enemy soldiers in Metula with artillery shells", it said in a statement. In another, it said it had targeted a "gathering of enemy soldiers" in the same area with rockets.
Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, reaffirmed yesterday in a pre-recorded statement the group's readiness for a prolonged fight, stating that Hezbollah's fighters are fully prepared to confront any scenario.
He emphasized that the group's actions follow the path laid out by their late leader Hassan Nasrallah, and reassured supporters that the party will soon appoint a new Secretary-General as per internal procedures.
Qassem expressed confidence that Hezbollah would emerge victorious from the confrontation.
