Man opens fire at factory after being fired from work; several injuries reported

A spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said today that a man opened fire randomly inside a factory in Aqaba this morning after being dismissed from his job some time ago.

The shooter fled the scene, and a search is underway.

The incident resulted in four individuals being injured by gunfire, one of them holds British nationality, another holds Serbian nationality, in addition to two Jordanian citizens. They were transported to the hospital and are currently receiving treatment.

 A source indicated that the British national is 60 years old and suffers from gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder, and his condition is critical. The Serbian national is 40 years old and suffers from a penetrating gunshot wound to the left side of his chest, with the bullet exiting from his back. His condition is also critical.

The source explained that one of the Jordanian citizens is 20 years old and sustained head injuries, and his condition is moderate. The other Jordanian citizen is 41 years old and is suffering from shock and panic, with his overall condition being moderate.
