Jordan Army: Our borders equipped with advanced technology, weapons
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, emphasized that Jordan's borders are equipped with the latest technology, devices, weapons, and communication systems to monitor the borders and respond to any emergencies.
He affirmed that the armed forces are ready to defend Jordan’s security and stability and will not hesitate to confront any threats. He also noted that the ongoing upgrades and modernization of the border areas are part of strategic plans aligned with royal directives.
This statement was made during Major General Al-Huneiti's visit on Tuesday to the 11th Royal Border Guard Battalion, a unit in the Northern Military Region. He was received by the area commander.
During the visit, Major General Al-Huneiti was briefed on the operational, training, and logistical activities of the units in the area. He was also informed of the efforts being made to strengthen border security and prevent smuggling and illegal crossings, as well as the coordination between different military and security units to ensure the nation’s protection.
At the end of his visit, accompanied by several senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Al-Huneiti met with battalion personnel, conveying the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince. He expressed his admiration for their exceptional competence, readiness, and ability to carry out their assigned duties.
Major General Al-Huneiti also signed the visitor's book during his visit.
