Severe traffic congestion has hit the main streets of Sidon and its surrounding roads due to escalating war developments and intense "Israeli" airstrikes on southern Lebanese towns and villages.

The congestion followed schools and universities in the city reducing teaching hours and urging parents to collect their children amid the intensified Israeli Occupation bombardment in eastern and southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's official news agency on Monday.

The agency reported that the southern entrance to Sidon is experiencing heavy traffic as residents flee from villages under "Israeli" attack. Media outlets also noted a mass exodus of hundreds of Lebanese from Tyre and southern areas towards Sidon following the most intense Israeli Occupation airstrikes since October 8.

Lebanon's Ministry of Health announced that "100 people have been killed and over 400 injured" as a result of the ongoing Israeli Occupation airstrikes in southern Lebanon since Monday morning.

"Israeli" army has launched extensive air raids on the Bekaa Valley, targeting residential buildings in southern Lebanon. Israeli Occupation army spokesperson Daniel Hagari urged Lebanese residents to evacuate targeted areas, stating that the goal of the strikes is to destroy Hezbollah's infrastructure built over the years.

Hagari added that the "Israeli" forces have bombed more than 300 targets in Lebanon, stressing the importance of preventing Hezbollah from using its combat tools against Israeli Occupation.

He confirmed that the situation on the northern front is very difficult, with the army's primary focus on securing the northern population. He also mentioned that the army is prepared to change instructions to civilians based on developments.
