Kadyrov accuses Musk of "remotely disabling" His Tesla cybertruck
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has accused American billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, of remotely disabling a Tesla Cybertruck that Kadyrov claims was gifted to him in August, according to AFP.
Kadyrov, who has ruled Chechnya for over 17 years, shared a video in August showing himself behind the wheel of a Tesla Cybertruck equipped with a mounted machine gun. The footage, posted online, sparked widespread attention.
Kadyrov stated that Musk personally gifted him the vehicle, though Musk later denied the claim on his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), calling it false.
In a recent post on Telegram, Kadyrov wrote, "Musk has finally remotely disabled the Tesla Cybertruck. It’s not good for Elon Musk to behave this way—offering expensive gifts and then disabling them remotely."
The Chechen leader also noted that the vehicle had been used in military operations in Ukraine, where it reportedly "performed excellently."
Ramzan Kadyrov, 47, is a staunch supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin and has openly declared that thousands of Chechen soldiers have been sent to support Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine.
