Masked gunman arrested in Ma’an following election-related shooting

Jordan's Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson announced that investigation committees have begun reviewing videos and reports of gunfire during the parliamentary elections.

One video, which circulated widely, showed a masked individual firing an automatic weapon at an election headquarters in Ma’an.

Through investigations and information gathering, the committees were able to identify the shooter and locate his whereabouts. A security force raided the location, arrested the suspect, and confiscated the weapon used in the incident.

The spokesperson emphasized that the investigation committees continue to review videos of gunfire across the country, with the aim of apprehending all individuals involved in this dangerous behavior that threatens public safety, and to take necessary legal action against them.
