Possible rain showers expected in Jordan
Jordan will experience the effects of a moderate air mass on Sunday and Monday, leading to a further drop in temperatures, which will be about two degrees Celsius below the seasonal average, according to ArabiaWeather.
Cool Mornings and Mild Afternoons
The weather will be slightly cool in the mornings, coinciding with students heading to school, and mild with a hint of autumn throughout most of Jordan during the day. However, it will remain hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Low clouds are expected, especially in northern and central regions of the country, with a chance of scattered rain showers in parts of northern Jordan during the early morning hours. Winds will be moderate from the northwest, gradually becoming stronger and causing dust to rise in southern and eastern areas.
Further Temperature Drop and Possible Rain Showers
Temperatures will continue to decrease, ranging 2 to 4°C below the usual levels for this time of year. The weather will be cool in the early mornings and pleasant to mild during the day in most regions. Low clouds will create partly to mostly cloudy skies on Monday, with chances of scattered rain in the northern and central areas, particularly in the early morning.
Monday Temperatures
On Monday, high temperatures will be in the mid-20s °C over highland areas, including the western hills of Amman, and in the upper 20s in lower regions. Temperatures in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will approach the high 30s.
Chilly Nights Expected
ArabiaWeather also noted that low temperatures will range between 14-17°C over the high mountains and eastern plains, while they will drop below 14°C in the Sharah Mountains, resulting in cool to relatively cold conditions, but refreshing.
High Humidity and Fog Formation
Moist air from the Mediterranean is expected to move into the region, increasing humidity levels to over 90 percent in some parts of Jordan. The weather will be noticeably humid with low clouds, and fog may form over some northern highlands.
Recommendations for Warm Clothing
ArabiaWeather advised students and early risers to wear light jackets to stay warm during the cool early mornings.
