Rain on horizon: Will Jordan see showers this week?
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecasted that the weather in Jordan on Friday will be moderate over mountainous areas and plains, and hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Winds will be from the northwest at a moderate speed, occasionally intensifying.
Friday’s temperature forecast:
- East Amman: 33°C to 19°C
- West Amman: 31°C to 17°C
- Northern Highlands: 29°C to 17°C
- Shara Mountains: 30°C to 16°C
- Dead Sea: 40°C to 24°C
- Aqaba: 41°C to 25°C
On Saturday, temperatures are expected to drop slightly.
The weather will remain generally moderate in most areas, with continued heat in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Low-altitude clouds may appear, and winds will be from the northwest at a moderate speed, occasionally picking up.
A mild and moist air mass from the Mediterranean will affect Jordan, leading to a slight decrease in temperatures.

On Monday, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly further, with maximum temperatures likely to be slightly below average.
