LIVE UPDATES: Preliminary results of 2024 parliamentary elections

After the polling stations closed and vote counting began for the 2024 parliamentary elections, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) started publishing results for local and general constituencies in real time through a dedicated platform.

The IEC launched this platform to release election results as they become available, following the closing of polls at 7:00 PM and the start of the counting process.

IEC Chairman Musa Maaytah stated that around 515,000 expatriates could not vote, bringing the voter turnout to 36 percent. He confirmed that the total number of registered voters was 1,638,351.

Here are the required thresholds to win a seat in the general and local constituencies, varying by the number of voters in each district:

  • General constituency: 40,817 votes
  • Amman First District: 8,410 votes
  • Amman Second District: 10,907 votes

The Islamic Action Front announced its victory with 18 seats in the general district, receiving a total of 462,014 votes.

Central Badia District:

  • Ghassan Khreisat, the Chairman of the Election Committee for Central Badia, announced the victory of: Habis Al-Fayez from the Al-Barakah List with 6,328 votes
  • Ibrahim Al-Jabour from the Azm List with 5,312 votes
  • Fleeha Al-Sabitan from the Azm List with 5,055 votes (Women's Quota)

Northern Badia District:

  • Omar Al-Khawald from the "Al-Sha’a" List with 7,652 votes
  • Habis Al-Shayeb from the "Raad Al-Shamal" List with 12,298 votes
  • Mai Muhammad Al-Zyadna from the "Raad Al-Shamal" List with 9,234 votes (Women's Quota)

Ajloun District:

  • Abdul Haleem Al-Ananbah from the Jabal Ajloun List with 7,393 votes
