Jordan condemns killing of US-Turkish dual citizen
Jordan strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces' attack on American-Turkish activist Aysinur Ezgi Ece, describing it as a heinous crime that necessitates accountability for those responsible.
In a statement released Friday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it said that this crime, targeting a supporter of the Palestinian people, represents a continuation of the occupation's ongoing crimes and violations against innocent civilians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
The ministry added that this attack reflects the extremist policies of the “Israeli” government, which fuel hatred and extremism, inciting settlers to target and kill Palestinians and anyone supporting their legitimate right to an independent state with sovereignty along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The ministry emphasized the need for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities regarding the ongoing repression and violations faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
It also called for the cessation of the occupation's aggression against Gaza, the ongoing escalation in the West Bank, and for accountability for all perpetrators of crimes against the Palestinian people.
