Three “Israeli” police officers killed in West Bank shooting incident
Palestinian media reports indicate an initial shooting attack on a vehicle carrying “Israeli” settlers near the Tarqumiya checkpoint leading to Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
“Israeli” emergency services confirmed that three police officers were killed in the attack west of Hebron.
The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) noted that the targeted vehicle belonged to the “Israeli” police.
The area is under a significant security alert following the incident.
In response, a large Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed the town of Idhna, northwest of Hebron.
The IOF imposed a siege on Idhna as part of its search for the gunmen responsible for the incident near the Tarqumiya checkpoint.
“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu canceled his appearance at the new school year opening ceremony in Jerusalem due to the morning's events.
