Jordan welcomes autumn with refreshing weather
Jordan will welcome the autumn season tomorrow, Sunday, with mild and humid conditions expected in the early morning hours. The weather will be cooler over the mountains, with low clouds appearing, according to the regional weather site Arabia Weather.
Arabia Weather also predicts that temperatures will remain about two degrees Celsius below average for this time of year.
Throughout Sunday, the weather is expected to be moderately pleasant across various regions, with moderate northwesterly winds. These winds will pick up in the afternoon and evening, potentially stirring up dust in the eastern desert areas.
Mountainous Regions
Temperatures in the mountainous regions, including the capital city of Amman, will hover around the end of the 20s Celsius on the first day of fall, according to meteorological experts.
In other parts of the country, temperatures will begin in the low 30s Celsius, marking the end of summer with cooler-than-average temperatures. August will conclude this year without any heat waves or significant temperature extremes, as noted by Arab Weather.
Cool Nights Ahead
During the night hours, temperatures will gradually cool, particularly late at night and early in the morning. This will be especially noticeable in high mountain areas and eastern plains.
Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius on high mountain peaks, especially in southern regions, necessitating a light coat. Humidity levels will rise to over 90% in some areas, making the air feel notably damp with the potential for light fog formation over some high elevations, particularly in northern regions.
