Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have issued an ultimatum to Palestinian residents of the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, demanding they evacuate the camp within four hours, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

WAFA reported that the IOF have established a military checkpoint in the Muslakh neighborhood of the camp to inspect residents before their departure. The move has evoked memories of the forced evacuations regularly carried out by Israeli Occupation Forces in Gaza, which often precede military attacks on various neighborhoods.

In a related development, Israeli Occupation Foreign Minister Israel Katz publicly called for the evacuation of Palestinian civilians from the West Bank, drawing parallels with similar operations in Gaza. Katz’s remarks, shared on social media platform X, stressed that the West Bank should be treated with the same level of military response as Gaza, stating, "This is a war on everything."

The latest military actions by Israeli Occupation Forces began early Wednesday morning, targeting cities across the northern West Bank, including Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm. So far, 11 Palestinians have been killed, with many others wounded, though the death toll is expected to rise. This military campaign is the largest in the region since 2002, according to Hebrew media reports.

Since the launch of Hamas’ Operation Aqsa Typhoon on October 7, 2023, Israeli Occupation Forces have intensified their incursions into West Bank cities. Israeli Occupation airstrikes in Gaza have also escalated, with over 70 aerial attacks reported since the onset of the military campaign.

As the situation continues to unfold, tensions in the region remain high, with fears of further escalation.
