Crown Prince inaugurates High-Level Global Forum on Youth, Peace, Security

On Wednesday, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II inaugurated the High-Level Global Forum on Youth, Peace, and Security.

The forum is part of the Kingdom's efforts to implement UN Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security, which was adopted unanimously by the Security Council at the initiative of Crown Prince Hussein during his 2015 chairmanship of the Security Council's open debate.

The resolution aims to boost youth participation in international peace and security and encourages member states to enhance youth representation in decision-making at all levels.

Running until Thursday, the forum will launch the Arab Strategy for Youth, Peace and Security 2023-2028.

This strategy, developed by a committee led by Jordan's Ministry of Youth, follows a decision by the Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council (AYSMC).

The forum will also feature discussions on advancing and implementing the Youth, Peace, and Security agenda and priorities for developing the strategy's action plan.
