“Israeli” officials signal pause in military operation against Hezbollah
“Israeli” officials communicated to various parties that the current military operation has concluded for the time being, barring any unforeseen developments “unless surprises occur”, according to a report by Yedioth Ahronoth.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched a large-scale preemptive strike against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Sunday, claiming it had identified preparations by the group to fire rockets and shells toward “Israeli” settlements.
An “Israeli” official emphasized that the operation was not intended to start a war but to neutralize a significant threat to millions of settlers.
The continuation of the escalation, officials stated, will depend on Hezbollah’s actions, as reported by “Israel's” Channel 12.
In response, Hezbollah issued a stern warning to “Israel”, stating that any harm to civilians would be met with severe and harsh retaliation.
The group also announced that it had targeted IOF sites, barracks, and Iron Dome missile defense batteries in northern occupied Palestinian territories with a large barrage of rockets.
