Stray dog bites 12-year-old boy on way to school in Mafraq
A 12-year-old boy was bitten by a stray dog on Tuesday while on his way to school in the Mafraq governorate. The child attempted to escape after being attacked by the dog, but the animal managed to bite him on the legs.
Hussein Ali, the boy's father, explained that his son was bitten on both of his legs by the stray dog during his morning walk to school. A passerby intervened to rescue the boy from the dog.
Upon learning of the incident, the father contacted Civil Defense, who then transported his son to the hospital for treatment. Medical reports described the boy's condition as moderate.
The father also recalled a similar incident involving his younger son, who was bitten by stray dogs about two weeks ago.
He called on the authorities to find a solution to the increasing problem of stray dogs, which has become a significant concern for residents in the area.
