Benjamin Netanyahu said today that “Israel” is sticking to its demands in the ongoing gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks – which were outlines in a proposal by the United States earlier in May.

In the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said that they are “conducting very complex negotiations” which, as he described, are “give-and-take” negotiations and not give-and-give.

“On the other side stands a murderous, uninhibited, and obstinate terrorist organization,” he further claimed.

“There are areas where we can show flexibility, and there are area where we can’t show flexibility, and we are standing firm on them. We know quite well how to distinguish between the two.”

He further claimed that Hamas continues to refuse a ceasefire deal.

“It did not even send a representative to the talks in Doha. The pressure should be directed at Hamas and Sinwar, not at the Israeli government.”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to meet tomorrow Monday with Netanyahu at 11 AM to discuss the recent developments – according to “The Times of Israel”.

Blinken is also set to meet War Minister Yoav Gallant, Foreign Minister Israel Katz, and President Isaac Herzog.
