Lufthansa extends flight cancellations to Amman, Tel Aviv, Tehran, Beirut, Erbil till Aug. 21

Lufthansa Group announced an extension of its suspension of flights to and from Amman, Tel Aviv, Tehran, Beirut, and Erbil, for an additional week.

Due to heightened tensions and threats in the region, several airlines have rerouted and canceled flights to potentially dangerous cities under threat, such as Tehran, Tel Aviv, and Beirut.

This decision follows a prior suspension that was set to last until Tuesday, Aug. 13, however, now, it will remain in place until Wednesday, Aug. 21.

In addition to halting flights, Lufthansa Group’s airlines will continue to avoid overflying Iraq and Iran.
