Jordanian Armed Forces announce recruitment, scholarship applications
The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) announced the opening of applications for scholarships for children of active and retired military personnel.
The Directorate of Education and Military Culture will start accepting applications for this scholarship from Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, until Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024.
Applications can be submitted through the official website http://www.demc.jaf.mil.jo.

- Recruitment of male drivers -
Additionally, the Personnel Affairs Directorate / Mobilization Division and the People's Army announced the need to recruit male drivers with military status (Third-Class Manual Transmission) for the year 2024.
Applicants must have completed at least eighth grade and will be assigned to military areas and field units.

- Application: Interested individuals should apply electronically through the official website http://dpatajneed.jaf.mil.jo.
The site will be available from 10:00 AM on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, until midnight on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024.
- Communication: Eligible candidates will be contacted via SMS on the phone number provided in their application.
- Eligibility criteria -
- Nationality: Must be Jordanian.
- Age: Born between Jan. 1, 1994, and Sept. 1, 2006.
- License: Must have a Third-Class Driving License (Manual Transmission) only.
- Health: Must be medically fit for military service.
- Height and weight: Minimum height of 160 cm with weight proportionate to height.
- Literacy: Must be able to read and write.
- Character: Must have good conduct and not be convicted of any felony or dishonorable misdemeanor.
- Exams: Must pass the required tests (interview, medical examination, technical evaluation).
- Education: Must have completed at least eighth grade.
- Required documents -
- ID: Valid personal ID and a certified copy.
- Education certificate: Original or certified copy of the latest academic qualification (eighth grade or higher).
- Driving license
- Retirement documents: For children of retired military personnel, a retirement decision, a written certificate from the Military Injured Authority proving parental injury, or a martyrdom certificate for children of martyrs.
