Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza continues for 308th day

The Israeli Occupation persisted with its ground, naval, and aerial attacks on the Gaza Strip for the 308th consecutive day. 

The ongoing assault claimed the lives of 39,699 Palestinians since October 7, predominantly women and children, and left 91,722 others injured.

On Thursday, “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that Tel Aviv agreed to resume ceasefire talks on Aug. 15, at the request of Qatar, Egypt, and US mediators.

The office stated that “Israel” would send a negotiating team to finalize the agreement following a proposal from the mediators.

Since the temporary ceasefire in November, all attempts to establish a new ceasefire or exchange agreement have failed.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are ramping up to prevent further escalation, particularly after Iran threatened retaliation for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 in Tehran.
