Jordan sends 120 aid trucks to Gaza
This week, 120 Jordanian trucks carrying humanitarian aid crossed into Gaza, where they will be distributed by partner organizations and associations in the region.
A statement from the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) on Thursday said that the trucks are carrying ready-to-eat meals, food packages, clothing, blankets, and hygiene supplies.
The aid was coordinated by the Jordanian Armed Forces, the charity organization, and the World Food Programme (WFP), with support from the Swiss charity "Baraka," "Bayous," the Al-Imdad Charity, "GIG," Tesco, "SKT," Zain, the Jordanian Pharmacists Association, and the "Wahb Al-Ghaith" initiative.
Dr. Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the charity, stated that Jordan's efforts continue despite the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression against Gaza. He added, "We are working around the clock to attract more donors, send additional aid, and increase the number of trucks sent to Gaza."
Shibli also noted that the total number of trucks that have entered Gaza so far has reached 2,897, along with 53 planes through Al-Arish International Airport.
The charity continues to accept monetary donations through its bank account at Union Bank (Account Number: JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), via e-wallets, or through the CliQ JHCOGAZA service, as well as via e-fawateercom and its website www.jhco.org.jo.
