Hamas vows retaliation after assassination of Haniyeh

Hamas' Qassam Brigades, in their official statement on Wednesday, condemned the assassination of the  chief political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, labeling it as a "dangerous and pivotal event" that escalates the conflict to new levels.

They warned that this act would have serious repercussions across the region, accusing Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of leading the occupation towards "the abyss" and hastening its downfall.

The assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran is seen as a significant escalation in the ongoing aggression. The Al-Qassam Brigades declared that the blood of their leader, along with that of the countless Palestinians who have suffered under Israeli Occupation aggression, would not be shed in vain. They vowed that the resistance would continue, with the promise that Israeli Occupation would face severe consequences for its actions.

The statement also called on regional countries and their peoples to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that the resistance in Palestine is the first line of defense for the entire Arab and Islamic world.

Haniyeh's assassination is expected to further intensify the conflict, with the Al-Qassam Brigades pledging to retaliate against Israeli Occupation targets both within and beyond the occupied territories.
