“Mahmoud…so nice”: Trump publishes letter from Abbas following attempted assassination

Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump published a letter he received from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressing a desire for peace and reconciliation.

Trump shared the message from Abbas on his social media platform, Truth Social, on July 14, the day after the attempted assassination against him.

In the message, Abbas wished Trump "strength and safety," according to the letter posted by Trump, adding that acts of violence must not have a place in a world of law and order.

“Mahmoud, so nice…Thank you…everything will be good,” Trump said in response.
