Ministry of Energy gives update on gasoline prices
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced on Tuesday that the average prices of petroleum products decreased during the third week of July, with the exception of 95-octane gasoline.
According to the ministry's weekly bulletin, the average price of 90-octane gasoline during the third week of the month was USD 786 per ton, compared to USD 787 per ton in the second week, reflecting a slight decrease of about 0.1 percent. In contrast, the average price of 95-octane gasoline remained stable at USD 829 per ton.
The average price of diesel fell from USD 699 per ton to USD 691 per ton, marking a 1 percent decrease. Similarly, the average price of kerosene dropped from USD 761 per ton to USD 750 per ton, a decrease of about 1 percent.
Additionally, the average price of fuel oil declined from USD 514 per ton to USD 504 per ton, a 2 percent decrease.
Data from the Ministry of Energy also indicated a slight decrease in the average price of Brent crude oil, which fell to around USD 86 per barrel in the third week of July, compared to approximately USD 87 per barrel in the second week, a decrease of about 1 percent.
