The Amman Prosecutor General has begun investigating the case involving the murder of two brothers and the stabbing of a third in the Wadi Al-Seer area of the capital, Amman – after which the perpetrator, aged 17, committed suicide after the crime by jumping off Abdoun’s bridge.

The prosecutor continues to hear testimonies from the parents of the victims and the injured brother, as well as their son, the killer, along with several prosecution witnesses.

A source close to the investigation told Roya that the injured brother's condition has stabilized. He was admitted to the intensive care unit at a hospital after sustaining chest and lung injuries inflicted by his brother.

The victims were attacked with knives and razors by their 17-year-old brother. According to Roya’s sources, the murder took about an hour to complete. The killer took the lives of his two brothers and injured a third at dawn after their family refused to give him money he had requested on Saturday night.

The killer fled to the Abdoun Bridge, where he ended his life by jumping off. The parents, who were asleep, woke up to the sound of their sons' screams and found them covered in blood. The father quickly called the police.

A source close to the investigation told Roya that the 17-year-old killer was known to be a drug user. The family had come to Jordan as refugees during the Syrian crisis, while the father had been residing in Jordan with his siblings before the crisis and brought his family over after the events began.

The family identified the killer's body through photos sent to the police an hour after the crime.

The killer first stabbed his 23-year-old brother multiple times in the chest, lungs, abdomen, legs, and hands. The 22-year-old brother, who tried to defend himself, was also stabbed in the neck and chest, leading to his death.

The third brother is in the hospital in a condition ranging from moderate to critical after receiving multiple chest and lung stab wounds.

Autopsies revealed that the 23-year-old victim had 50 stab wounds, including five to the neck, face, abdomen, legs, and hands, causing severe bleeding.

The 22-year-old victim had 35 stab wounds, four to the neck, face, chest, abdomen, and legs, with defensive wounds on his hands. The killer's body had multiple fractures from the fall.

Samples from the killer's body were taken for toxicology tests to determine the presence of any drugs or toxins.
