The French National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) confirmed there is no evidence that the recent global technological disruption affecting airlines, banks, media, and other businesses was due to a cyber attack.

ANSSI stated on Friday that their teams are fully mobilized to identify and support the affected entities in France and to understand the origin of the outage.

They emphasized, "There is no evidence to suggest that this outage is the result of a cyber attack."

The global technological disruption has caused significant issues across multiple sectors. Airlines, banks, and media companies experienced widespread outages, with Microsoft services, including Microsoft 365 applications, facing extensive downtime. Institutions like Visa, ADT Security, Amazon, Delta, and American Airlines were among those affected.

The Australian Home Affairs Department suggested the outage might be linked to a problem with global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, though CrowdStrike only acknowledged a defect in a Windows server and is working on a fix. Microsoft is gradually addressing the issue, reporting a "positive trend" in service availability.

In Australia, the disruption affected airlines, telecommunications providers, banks, and media, causing significant service interruptions. Some New Zealand banks also reported online service outages. Despite these widespread issues, ANSSI's investigation so far indicates no cyber attack involvement.
