“Kamala Harris ready to debate J.D. Vance,” says Biden campaign

US Vice President Kamala Harris is “poised and ready” to debate Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, recently named Donald Trump's running mate, reported Axios.

"Vice President Harris is prepared to debate J.D. Vance," stated Biden campaign spokesperson TJ Ducklo during a press call. "We have accepted the proposal from CBS News to participate in that debate, and we feel very good about it."

The Biden campaign specifically agreed to an in-studio vice-presidential debate hosted by CBS, with proposed dates being either July 23 or August 13. 

"The VP will take it to J.D. Vance," remarked Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) during the press call, expressing confidence in Harris's debate readiness. "I'm looking forward to this debate."

In contrast, the Trump campaign accepted a separate invitation for a debate hosted by Fox News.
