Prince Ali renews call to ban “Israel” from FIFA
His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), has reaffirmed the association's stance that sports should serve as a platform for unity and solidarity, not discrimination or injustice.
This statement comes ahead of the FIFA Council meeting on July 20, which will review the legal opinion on banning the “Israeli” Football Association from the organization due to the ongoing events.

Prince Ali reiterated that the JFA believes sports should be a platform for unity and solidarity, not discrimination or injustice.
"I urge football fans worldwide to stand together for justice and pressure FIFA to make decisions reflecting the noble human values football represents. Continuing the current situation without decisive action perpetuates double standards and paints an unfair picture of the sports world."
HRH underscored the international community's role in pressuring sports organizations to achieve justice, unity, and solidarity among people, praising the efforts of fans and activists in supporting humanitarian causes through sports.

The Jordan Football Association has been among the first to call for the international sports community to take a clear and explicit stance to protect civilians and stop violations in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
This includes imposing sanctions on “Israeli” sports associations, isolating them entirely and immediately from the international sports community, and banning their teams, clubs, players, and representatives from any tournaments or gatherings.
