The Companies Control Department (CCD) referred 7 companies to the public prosecutor for claiming to achieve quick profits, in violation of the law. These violations include failing to adhere to their established purposes, lacking financial accounts or statements, or not disclosing the true beneficiary related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing.

Companies Controller Dr. Wael Al-Armouti warned citizens against dealing with any companies that claim to offer monthly profits in exchange for certain amounts of money under speculative contracts. He urged caution and advised confirming the legal and financial status of such companies.

The department provides a service to inquire about companies through its website (https://portal.ccd.gov.jo). This service allows users to verify the legal and financial status of companies, check for any violations or penalties, and determine if the company is active, suspended, or in violation.

Armouti emphasized the importance of consulting legal experts when dealing with any companies, especially those offering services beyond their stated purposes. He stressed the need to avoid misleading advertisements and posts on social media and other communication channels, as reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
